The Trip That Started It All
A story about Italy,
my dad, and why
every moment matters.
My love of travel began with my dad, who believed the world was meant to be experienced fully and took every opportunity to prove it.
When I was 18, we traveled through Italy together — Venice, Rome, Florence, Tuscany, and Verona. It was one of those trips that felt significant even while it was happening.
"He had suspected something was wrong before we left. He never said a word. He just made sure every moment counted."
Shortly after we returned, he was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. He had suspected something was wrong before we left. He never said a word. He just made sure every moment counted.
That trip changed how I see travel. It is not just about where you go. It is about how it feels, who you share it with, and whether you were truly present for it.
It is the foundation of everything I build for my clients.
